Kaylie is 11 years old and a D-team member here at Dynamic Edge Dance Center. She started dancing at the age of 3 at Class Act Dance Academy in Saratoga Springs, New York while her dad was enlisted in the Navy. When she moved back to Missouri in 2009 Kaylie began taking classes at Dynamic Edge Dance Center in Fenton, MO. Here she studies jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics, & ballet. She has been on the DEDC Competition team for 6 years. She competes in Jazz, Acro, & Contemporary categories as a soloist & with her team. Kaylie has had the opportunity to perform at the Fox Theater with Martina McBride in the Christmas Spectacular. She has performed in the Misssouri Ballet Theater’s Productions of The Nutcracker & The Little Mermaid. She has also won numerous awards at competitions placing 2nd overall at Stage One, 4th over all At VIP, & 9th overall at Celebrations Talent Competition. She has also won special judges awards for the choreography of her solos provided by Angie Zemel & Lisa Sabath. Kaylie likes to read books, make arts & crafts, Sew on her sewing machine, have sleepovers with her friends, & play with her pet rat Dorthy, who she is currently trying to train.
Kaylie auditioned and was invited to perform at Rickman Auditorium for Jefferson County’s Got Talent this Saturday October 10th at 7pm! She needs your votes though, so come support her as she performs one of her award winning solos.
