Miss Brigitte Bartola Swain started her dance career at the age of three. She continued dancing in high school and served as the dance captain her junior and senior year. She also was a collegiate dancer for the UMKC dance team. After college she danced for semi professional teams in Kansas City and Professional soccer and football known as the KC Command and the KC Comet. On her fifth and final season for the KC Comets she served as captain.

Her passion for teaching dance began in high school for local grade school dance programs and continued through college at local studios in the Kansas City area. She taught ages 3-18 and in all areas of dance including competitive where she was given choreography awards. The stage has always been her second home and she has always had a dream to teach since she was a young dancer and continues to feel blessed for the opportunity to make a difference in her young dancers lives because each dancer has made a difference in hers!

She works full time at DEDC as a teacher, event coordinator and public relations. She is the oldest and only girl of five and loves be surrounded by her crazy, loud but always entertaining Italian family. Her and her highschool sweetheart live in Rolla Missouri. She teaches preschool and is working on her child life specialist certification! ​She loves being a part of the DEDC dance family.
