About Me

Amy Stumpf found her love for dance early and began her training at Beutel School of Dance. While growing up in St. Louis, Amy was a member of the St. Louis Gateway Ballet Company, captain of her high school dance team, and earned top honors at several regional dance competitions, including Miss Missouri Pom.

While attending the University of Missouri, Columbia, Amy was a member of the MU Golden Girls. She also attended many dance and choreography classes at Stephens College and Dance Arts while living in Columbia. 

After graduating from college, Amy was a member of the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders and danced at the 2000 Super Bowl in Atlanta. Amy also had the opportunity to dance professionally at Walt Disney World and performed with Tina Turner.

Amy has also worked to continue her dance education by attending classes at Broadway Dance Center and many regional dance conventions. In 2018, Amy added acrobatic arts to her professional education, with certification from Tumble Effects.

In 2022, Amy added Varsity Dance Team Coach to her resume, leading the St. Joseph’s Academy Angels Dance Team to two State Championships in Hip-Hop.

Amy has been teaching dance for over 25 years, specializing in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, and acro. She has been recognized many times for her choreography at regional and national dance competitions. Amy’s current role at DEDC is the Artistic Director of the Dynamic Edge Competition Team. 

Amy has a wonderful and supportive family: husband Michael, and twins Michael Jr. and Savannah.
