About Me

Brigitte Bartola Swain began dancing at the age of three and grew up dancing as a competitive dancer in the Saint Louis area. She continued dancing and cheerleading in high school, where she served as the dance captain her junior-senior year, and also performed in school musicals. Brigitte was a collegiate dancer for the University of Missouri-Kansas City dance team. After college, Brigitte danced for semi-professional teams in the Kansas City area, KC Command and KC Comets, where she served as captain in her final fifth season. Her passion for teaching dance began in high school for local grade school programs and continued through college and after at local dance studios in Kansas City and Saint Louis. Brigitte is currently the Artistic Recreational Director and events/recital coordinator at Dynamic Edge Dance Center. She has been with Dynamic Edge Dance Center for over ten years, teaching all ages in both our recreational and competitive programs. She has been awarded multiple choreographer awards, overall top routines at both regional and national competitions. Brigitte also received training and certifications in rhythm works integrative dance, more than just great dancing, and many more. Brigitte has her master’s in early childhood education & child development with an emphasis in Child Life. The stage has always been her second home, and it’s a dream to have the opportunity to make a difference in her dancers’ lives because each dancer has made a difference in hers. When not being called Miss Brigitte, she loves spending time with her high school sweetheart, now husband of 10 years, Justin, and their tiny dancers, Giovanna and Rosalina.
